Dippy, We Will Miss You!

On Sunday we lost a member of our family. She was only 4 years old and we loved her very much. On Tuesday she was chased by a dog and cornered. Dippy is a very small cat, at full grown she is no bigger then a  6 month old kitten. Her little heart couldn't handle it and caused a blood  clot to go to her brain. We will miss  her very much but we are thankful for the time we did get to spend with her.
Dippy came into our lives when my husband found her at work and rescued her. He brought her home and Lil'Bit and Tiger automatically went into parent mode and started taking care of  her. She would sit on Sean's shoulders as  he sat at his computer and played video games. And she would either curl up next to me or laid on top of me when we took naps together. She was a very special animal and nothing would ever be able to replace her in our hearts.

Sore Aching Feet

Besides kicking back and giving your feet a rest, here are some remedies that can help ease the ache and rejuvenate tired feet:
1. Moist Heat - Sometimes aching feet are simply the result of overstressed muscles and connective tissue due to excess activity or weight-bearing. One of the best remedies for relaxing sore muscles is a foot bath. Soak your feet in a basin of warm water or in a store-bought foot spa for 5-10 minutes. Try adding epsom salts to the water for an added soothing effect. Epsom salts are readily available where first aid products are sold. Use approximately 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of warm water. If your feet are swollen, hot, or tired, use cool water instead of warm and elevate your feet for a half hour or more after the soak.
2. Stretch - Overstressed muscles will tend to contract or spasm. To counteract this tightness, stretch your feet. A good time to stretch is after warm soak, when muscles will be relaxed. Sit in a comfortable position and stretch the ankle and toe joints using your hands or a strap. To also target the calf muscles, try a runner's stretch while leaning against a wall. Hold each motion comfortably for 10-20 seconds for maximal benefit.
3. Massage - Apply oil or lotion to the soles and massage while applying gentle thumb pressure to any sore areas of the feet. Focus on the plantar fascia, the prominent cord-like structure that runs the length of the arch, from the ball of the foot to the heel. You can best feel it on the sole of your foot when you flex your toes upward. The plantar fascia is an important anatomical structure because it helps give form and support to the arch, which is necessary for absorbing shock when our feet hit the ground. Tightness of the plantar fascia can often be a root cause of heel soreness. Another easier way to massage the feet is by using wooden foot roller or a foot spa with built-in massage.
4. Arch Supports - Try a pair of store bought arch supports for your shoes. Arch supports will help decrease the shock that your feet experience with every step. The heel and ball of the foot are especially prone to soreness and full-length arch supports will help cushion these areas. Custom-made orthotics offer even more support for the feet and have the added benefit of accommodating specific foot problems.
5. Check Your Shoes - Identify which shoes may be contributing to the soreness. Switching to running shoes or shoes with a stiffer sole may help. Even sandals come in styles that cradle the arch and have a slightly thicker sole, which is preferable. Also, if your shoes have excess wear and tear they may be contributing to your sore feet. Worn out soles can change the dynamic of how your feet hit the ground, thus throwing off your biomechanics. Since shoes that are too tight or too loose can lead to soreness and fatigue, have your feet measured the next time you buy shoes. You may be surprised to find out that you were wearing an incorrect shoe size.

Why I Hate My New Job.

1.       The lack of training.
2.       The lack of organization.
3.       They expect you to know where everything is your first night there.
4.       Everyone gets annoyed when you as for help or where something is.
5.       They expect you to work at the same speed as everyone that has been there for years.
6.       Thinking your almost done then getting told that there is still more back there for you when it’s less than an hour before you get to go home.
7.       Having to walk to the front of the store every time you need to use the restroom because the ones in the back are pad locked and there are no employee restrooms.
8.       Wasting your entire 15 min. break just to go to the restroom.
9.       Not getting to take your entire 15 min. break because you still have a pallet as tall as you still out on the floor.

Update: October

So I realize that it has been several months since I have posted anything to my blog, for that I am sorry, things have been kinda busy and keeping it updated wasn't a priority. But I have found the time to start updating once again, but it may not be as often as it was in the past. So here is a bit of whats been going on over the past couple of months.

Well first, Sean will be getting out of the Army in the upcoming months and things are a little stressed over what is going to happen when he gets out. We are both praying that he gets the job he wants, which will take him back over seas for almost two years. I'm not thrilled about how long he'll be gone, but it's what he wants and I'm actually kinda ready for him to go back too.

Second, I have been spending more time focusing on my school to improve my grades, but you wouldn't be able to tell at the moment with my current grade in Economics, I'm just not that great of a test taker. But my skills have been improving in Photoshop and Illustrator, along with the grades of my assignments and projects. I have also been self teaching myself how to digital paint and draw on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, which I recently got and lot.

Third, I have been spending more time as a housewife, wanting to limit as much stress as possible with everything that's going on and wanting to focus more on myself and my health, which you can never do too much of.

There have also been other things mixed into the bunch but these are the main reasons or excuses, but whatever the reason its time to get things back on track.

Why There Have Been No Post This Week

Sorry about not posting lately. Things have gotten really heavy around my place.

We found out Monday that Bird has heartworms, and right now I'm out of work and we do not have the money to pay for it. So we are making some huge sacrifices to get her treated and Kiba and Lil'Bit tested and treated. Along with getting them the prevention so we do not have to worry about this anymore for all six of our pets.

We are currently selling off two of my skateboards (yes, I collect skateboards) for $50 each, my Vivitar camera and all its effects for $150, along with all our DvD's for $2 each and BluRays for $5 each. I am also willing to sell off some of my manga collection and my Shonen Jump collection.

Also as I said I'm currently looking for work. I am currently putting in applications at fast food places near my home, as much as I would prefer to do graphics or web design I'll take any job right now.

On a lighter note, post will be picking back up, but I will no longer be posting everyday or on the weekends, post will be made on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for now on. Fable 3, Batman: Arkham Aslyum, and The Darkest Hour reviews will be posted over the next two weeks. Along with the MoP:Beta Pandarian starter area videos on YouTube.

Proper Shading Sketch

This was one of my first final pieces for a class. It was for proper shading usage. It was inspired by my Warcraft character.

A Poem for My Husband

What Would You Say?

What would you say if I told you,
That I still find you funny even when annoying,
Or that I still get butterflies,
When you walk into the room.

What would you say if I told you,
That I still find myself starring at you for no reason,
Or that I still blush,
When you catch me looking at you.

What would you say if I told you,
That your sometimes right and I'm sometimes wrong,
Or that when your away I sleep on your side of the bed,
Just to feel closer to you.

Waring Content Is Not Nice and Has Bad Language, But Someone Has to Say It

I believe I have mention this before, about my baby sister's train wreck of a marriage to a PFC Tom McCreary. And in truth this post is mainly for them, which I know I'll get some ugly emails and messages  but, hey, the truth hurts, doesn't it. Now they'll see what they look like when they act like high schoolers instead of adults.

Within the year he cheated on her with an ex. But his family, who they were living with because she was the one working to support them while he collected a $400 check a month for being a weekend warrior, treated her as if she was the one that cheated.

She got over it and worked things out while doing her best to ignore his pathetic family, all because she loved him. Before he left for his deployment, he started sending the ex money, while Steph was recovering from a medical conditon and couldn't work. Then told her that he was done, but then changed his mind and got his act together enough to finish the paper work so that the military saw her as his wife. (Which he never turned in instead Steph did later.) But before his plane took off his mother did this whole pathetic bit about how Steph would spend every last dime of his pay check and demanded that he take his debit card with him and not add Steph to his back account, instead add her. (She must not know that it's her son's responsibility to support his wife.)

Here's the part most don't know. At this point she was living with me in N.C. and he is listed at Active Duty, but he wasn't supporting her, which the military really looks down on those that don't support their family. He is receiving an Active Duty pay check and BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing), and she was looking for a job to support herself and and trying to save the money to file for divorce. Now it gets a little fuzzy whether they were together or not, since it changed every five minutes. But she was fighting with him and his SGT to setup an allotment to support her, and she wasn't asking for much, but he decided to give her enough to show off that he was supporting her. Now Army regulations say that a soldier must support their spouse and family unless the spouse makes more then they do or the marriage ends.

By the time Tom returned home on R&R Steph had received two payments, and they had decided to stick it out and make things work. Now this whole time his family has been making her life a living hell and starting fights with my mother and other sisters, and Steph was back in T.X. living with my mother. Tom's first day back he picked her up and took her to a hotel, then dropped her back off at my mother's house the next, to not be heard from for days. When she did finally hear from him, he was at the ex's and told her that he had filed the divorce papers and she would be receiving them to sign soon and that he stopped the allotment. She couldn't wait to sign them, she was tired of his crap and didn't deserve to be treated that way any longer.

A few weeks of her waiting to sign the papers his family decided that the divorce wasn't enough and that they wanted more. His family doesn't live far from my mother, they actually live up the road from them. So one day when Steph was coming home with my PREGANENT sister, Sam, one of them decided to try and run them off the road. The cops were not called. A few days later, Sam was in a car accident, no one was hurt, when her tires came off the car. Sometime during the night SOMEONE had removed and loosen the bolts on her tires. Since there is no evidence to point fingers at anyone the cops were not called again. But come on, it's not that hard to put two and two together. It wasn't enough for them to get what they wanted or to torture Steph, they had to go and endanger both her and Sam's life along with a innocent unborn child.

Now, a few days ago Steph received a call from Tom, who admitted that he never filed the divorce papers. Mind you that he has not supported Steph for a couple of months now with the claim they were getting a divorce, and his SGT allowed him to stop the allotment, instead of following regulations. If you don't know the regulation or understand it then read this and this.

Now after the little car accident case his family realized it was time to grow up, or so we thought. But apparently they have grown bored with torturing and stealing from their own family (from what the rumors say). And really my family should be flattered that we can hold their attention without doing anything.

On Thursday Steph received a message from Tom's mother, Lisa, and these are her words exactly as my sister received them: “Stephanie I tell u one thing u tell ur mom anytime she wants to stomp my ass I am ready because I read ur blog so tell unless she can back her shit up don't run her fucking mouth about me.” And I am sorry for the language, but that shows how this woman acts. Now as far as her comment about my mother's blog, I have to laugh at the woman. My mother's blog is not linked to her Twitter or Facebook and someone would either have to get the address from her or actually Google my mother's name to find the blog. To have to actually go and Google my mother's name to find her blog and then go through years of post to find one that even mentions her son or the name “Lisa” is really pathetic. On top of that my mother never mentions anyone's full name and her post about Tom are true, and are way nicer then mine, I read my mother's blog and not once does she mention anything about his mother or that she wants to kick her ass. The posts that mention Lisa are about my uncle's ex, so to take a post that just mentions the name “Lisa” and turn it into something it's not is just really sad.

Once again this post is for the McCreary family, and I have to apologize to my loyal readers, not his family, that it had to come to this, but sometimes things have to be said in order to feel better and ignore the idiots.

And to the McCreary family, it really is flattering that you will pay this much attention to my family that you can just ignore your own. But it's pathetic that you have to stoop this low and endanger an innocent unborn child. Or that you still have yet to find something new to do other then make yourself look like the worst people on the plantet. Now if you will please grow up you might actually find the time to fix that spelling of yours or help your adult and married children create their own life and move out. And we will go back to being the bigger ones and ignore your pathetic attempts to flatter us. Oh, one more thing, I hope you have a wonderful day because I will.

We Failed but Didn't Give Up

A couple of weeks back I decided to grab the stuff to make home made salsa, along with some canning stuff to make it all last. I got it home and Sean went to work with the cutting and slicing, while I hunted down the food processor and recipe. I had gotten enough for two batches, since Sean wanted to try a recipe that he found that was a little different then the one I had used. Even after boiling it and letting it stand both batches were the most disgusting salsa we had ever tasted.

But we didn't give up. The other day we went and grab some more ingredients and went to work again. This time using different canned tomatoes, next batch will be whole tomatoes, and no Cilantro. After boiling it, we thought it tasted way better then the pervious batches, and set is aside to let it cool. While it cooled we made homemade chips out of corn tortilla, and some chicken quesadillas for lunch. (You can find the recipe we used at the bottom of the page. Don't forget to boil it for 10-15 min and let it cool.)

Sean really enjoyed it, which is kinda surprizing. Some of the things I grew up eating he can't stand but then I did change some of them and added ingredients to others that he doen't like. Like green bell peppers and onions, or anything with rice.

Homemade Salsa Recipe:
1x can of Diced Tomatoes
2x can of Rotel Tomatoes
1x Jalapeno Pepper
1x Lime (for juice)
1/4 tsp of Cumin
1/4 tsp of Salt

1. Mix ingredients together in food processor and blend to your liking.
2. Boil for 10-15 min.
3. Let site til cool.

Sean Has Quit WoW

Sean decided he is over World of Warcraft and uninstalled the game and suspended his account, giving everything to his guild bank. Neither of us really planed to continue our venture when Mist of Pandaria came out, and we both agree that Cata's raid have been really disappointing. But unlike him I don't plan on just saying I'm done, at least not yet. I want to at least give MoP's raids a shot. And in truth I think he's over reacting to one bad night of raiding, not on the guilds part but on his own. He's always been the one that has to be perfect and if he can't be the best he thinks he's loser and doesn't should be playing. But I have seen a change in him, instead of arguing with me to bring the dogs in, he just gets up and does it. He also doesn't seem to be in a bad mood all the time, which he was all the time between the pressure at work and then the pressures he put on himself to be the best in game. It is a little weird that my long time gaming buddy has decided to leave the game, but he's happy and that makes me happy. I don't mind him giving everything away or suspending his account, just as long as he doesn't try to sell it again. I want him to be able to play it when or if he thinks of coming back. But now instead of spending all day playing WoW, he has moved the PS3 to his room with our smallest Tv. So he is finally playing all those games we have been buying but not finishing.

Missing Tiger

So it's been over a month since Sean let Tiger out and hasn't returned. We have been calling shelters and vets but noone has seen him. We've walked the neighborhood looking for him and calling his name but not even a clue as to where he would be. We put posters up and set food out to wake up to it being gone but no Tiger.

Tiger joined our little family at Christmas in 2005, Sean came home with two cats as our first Christmas presents to each other. Tiger was mine and his brother, Mouse, was Sean's. They were the best gifts each of us could ask for, and always will be. Mouse was a black tabby, that you could barely make out the stripes on his back. My Tiger was a orange tabby that stripes went up in to a lepard pattern on his back, the tip of his tail was broken before we got him but he didn't seem to care about it.

Two years ago around Christmas Mouse and Tiger left the house together like the normally do, but this time instead of comeing back after a day or two Tiger came home after a week and a half and Mouse never did. We spent months hopeing and pray he would come home, it took Sean a while to come to the fact that he wasn't comeing home this time. A hole was put into our little family the day he left but was filled a year later when Sean brought home this little black and white kitten that could fit in the palm of your hand. Tiger didn't know what to do with her, since she was so small and she was  female.

Now two years after the dissapeareness of his brother, Tiger dissappears, and just like Sean I'm not giving up just yet. I'll keep putting food out and checking the porch every day. I'll call for him everytime I go outside, and I'll light my candle and pray for him every night.

Get a Job or Quit School

So a lot of things have been happening and I’ve been very busy the past couple of days. My Gi Bill ends this year, but we started the paper work to transfer Sean’s Gi Bill over to me. But it wasn’t approved. They said he has to have served 6 years and re-enlist for 4 years. He has served 6 years and a couple of years ago he had re-enlist for 4 years. But they claim he has to re-enlist for another 4 to transfer the benefits. For some reason this just sounds like a load of BS.

So now I have the option of quit school or get a job. I have been trying to find a job off and on for 5 years. And I am about 2 years from finishing my BA, so no matter what I’m not quitting. There will be no point to just give up now.

And once again I’m back out hitting the pavement and filling out applications to find a job. It’s to pay of my classes so I’m fine with losing a couple of hours of my WoW to do it. Going to be a pain to keep my raiding schedule until I get use to the work schedule. Along with finding the time to do my school work, but I will just have to put that over the game for a while.

Paranormal Activity 3 Review

I’m going to first give you the entire link to the trailer, so you see the movie that I wanted to go see.
http://www.paranormalmovie.com/trailer/

Now what the trailer shows it was I wanted to see, I wanted the answers it promise us, but that is not the movie I watched in theaters. I went in hoping to see this movie and get answers; I left after watching a different movie and having more questions.

They start off just like the trailer, trying to figure what is happening around the house and if Kristy’s imaginary friend is causing it. Of course the mom doesn’t want to believe and is only convinced when she leaves the kitchen then walks back in to find everything sticking to the ceiling and then just suddenly drops to the floor. Well now that it finally has mom’s attention they all run off to grandma’s house.

Now at grandma’s house is where the crazy crap starts to happen that leads to the end of the movie. Well the boyfriend is running around the house trying to find the girls and running away from the demon. Well while running around grandma’ s house he finds witchcraft markings on the walls, the mother is thrown at him from the stairs, Katy’s face is processed by the demon, and he also runs into these people that are dress in black robes and start a huge bomb fire outside the house. The movie ends with the boyfriend being killed by the demon and the grandma takes the girls upstairs, with Kristy calling for Toby, the demon.

So what happened to the fire that burned everything down that was mention in the first two movies? And what really was going on with grandma? Over all it you want to be scared there are some good parts, but if you’re looking for the answers that were promised you won’t find them.

I really wish that movies would actually tell us what were getting in the trailer instead of leaving us scratching our head saying “Ugh, that wasn’t the movie advertised!” Really it’s false advertisement.

Why Get Married In The First Place?!?

So I mention before how my sister’s in-laws are pretty much the in-laws everyone fears they will get. I was lucky my in-laws are really great. But this isn’t about me it’s about my baby sister, Stephanie. She married not long ago and within the first couple of months Tom, her husband, cheats on her. Now I don’t care what she says or everyone else, if he cheated on her so soon then he should have never married her and she need to leave him.

So I get a text message from her today and she wants to know what should she do, and she started to tell me how she is watching him as he and his ex’s mom are talking about how he is going to do something to screw up the marriage and go back to her daughter. Now this is the same girl he cheated on her with at the beginning of the marriage. I told her once again to cut her loses, that he isn’t worth it. He never stuck up for her and told her that he wasn’t going to send her a damn dime while he is deployed because she moved their stuff out of his mother’s house, who was already going to kick her out the moment he left for training.

She tools screenshots of it all and I’m reading it all and I see a part that the mom wrote saying that Steph said something about her daughter and Tom’s reply was something along the lines of no one talks about the people he cares about. But yet he married Steph but yet he doesn’t care about her enough to stand up for her, but will for this other girl. Now if that isn’t a red flag what is. I didn’t even need to read the part where a divorce was mention. And the funniest thing about this was at the beginning he tells her that his wife might ask about these messages and to ignore her. So what does that tell you? He isn’t worth the time to even cry for.

Girls who stay with guys like this get on my nerves. If he loved you and he wanted to be with you, really wanted to be with you, then he would never have done it. I thank god everyday for finding someone as great as my husband, Sean, and I pray that my sisters find someone just as great.

Music to Calm the Soul

So life has been well a disaster area for the past couple of days. My so call uncle is wishing my mother death, guess he will never grow up. Then I learn he is sleeping with someone I have called a sister since I was about 10. And on top of that my baby sister is getting hell from her in-laws and the same so called sister. I'm really just ashamed of sharing the same blood as my uncle, and disgusted that I ever called her a sister. Well I'm trying to help my baby sis get away from the hell that has been created for her by the in-laws. She will be leaving in three weeks to come stay with me for a while so that I can finally go back to Texas and visit family and not have to pay too much for the animals and not have to worry about them, which I'm going to do no matter what. Their my kids.

But things aren't all bad. Sean will be home soon for two weeks, and I can't wait, feels like a year since he left. I know his cat Dip will be very welcoming, might and figure a way to sneak her back with him.

Anyway with all the stress that is going on the best way to calm yourself is with music, and I happened to actually logon to MySpace and found this new band that their debut album just hit stores and fell in love with the first song I heard, and rushed off to iTunes to get it. Icon For Hire, they sound alot like Paramore but I think her voice is better and the lyrics too.
